A Blessed Year...

This was a particularly fun painting. I did it early in the year ... it came along rather quickly, and I was pleased with the result.
As I look back on the year with all its good times and even the struggles through the storms, I am constantly reminded how very blessed I am. I have my precious family, I am able to do artwork and web design, and the Lord continually provides everything I need. The three blessings that leave me most in wonder are below....
My precious children are gifts from the Lord. They each are so special and encourage me daily in different ways. I am so thankful that the Lord chose me for their mother! May you and your family have a blessed Christmas and a hope-filled 2012!

Finding My Creative Juices
It's been a busy spring with tornado relief and web design taking the majority of my time and attention.
It has been an incredible time of intense focus and attention spent toward those ends. I have been amazed at how wonderful people all across this country have rallied around and come to the aid of those so devastated by these storms.
With the rebuilding effort well on the way, life is beginning to get back to a new normal for many affected by these storms. There is so much devastation still, but there is even more about which to be hopeful.
As always with any of my creative endeavors, I believe that artwork not only happens when paper, pencil, and paint are involved, but it even goes so far as to include my web design. It is certainly an art form, and my latest site was such a pleasure to put together. Fine Paperwork is a local personalized stationery business here in Birmingham. Pat Campbell is a personal consultant who takes great care in creating just the right invitation for weddings, parties, and other gatherings. She meets with her customers to get to know them and what they want for that perfect special occasion.
My aim, now that things are settling down a little, is to get back to the drawing board. :)
